Top Navigation and Maps Apps in South America Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of navigation and maps applications in South America showcased varied trends in downloads and active users, as captured by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a rising trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 296K and peaking at 464K by the end of December. Active users also increased, from around 32.9M at the beginning of the quarter to 34.9M by the end.

Google Maps Go experienced a steady increase in downloads from 218K to 306K mid-quarter, before slightly declining to 221K. Active users followed a similar upward trend, reaching 172M at its peak.

Google Earth had a modest fluctuation in downloads, starting at 94K and ending at 82K, with active users showing a slight rise from 1.8M to 1.9M.

Radarbot Speed Camera Detector had significant growth in weekly revenue, starting at $21.6K and peaking at $41.9K towards the end of December. Downloads varied, peaking at 98K in mid-October, while active users rose steadily from 425K to 585K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer showed an initial high in downloads at 64K, with fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at 31K. Active users started at 79K, peaking at 84K before settling at 63K.
